Shingetsu-yu 新月湯  (“New Moon Bath”) is located at 2 minutes walk from Kita-Ikebukuro station, on the Tobu Tojo Line. The sento was built in 1955 and the interior has been renewed in 1985, the beautiful painted tiles have been there since then. The water is pumped at 250 meters underground and warmed up with wood. It is very soft and gentle for the skin. I particularly recommend to enjoy the veranda in  both men and women dressing room after bathing.
